Orders & Payment
1. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept PayPal for all purchases. This includes payment via PayPal balance, credit card, or debit card through PayPal's checkout. Your financial information is not shared with us.
2. Will I be charged sales tax?
Sales tax is applied to orders shipped to states where we are required to collect it. The tax amount is calculated and shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.
3. Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?
You can cancel or modify your order within 12 hours of placement by emailing us at support@phoxhunter.com. After 12 hours, orders may already be in processing and cannot be changed. Once shipped, you will need to follow our return process.
Shipping & Tracking
4. How long does it take to process and ship my order?
We process orders within 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays). Once shipped, you will receive a tracking number by email. Total delivery time = processing + transit. Most US orders arrive within 8–15 business days from the order date.
5. How can I track my order?
After your order ships, we will send you a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link. Tracking updates may take 24–48 hours to appear. If you have not received tracking after 5 business days, check your spam folder or contact us.
6. Do you offer free shipping?
We offer free standard shipping on all PhoxHunter folding e-bikes to the contiguous United States and Canada. Expedited shipping is not available at this time.
7. Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or APO/FPO addresses?
We ship only to the lower 48 United States and Canada. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US territories, or APO/FPO/DPO military addresses at this time.
Returns & Warranty
8. What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. The bike must be unused, unassembled, and in its original packaging. See our Returns & Refunds Policy for details. We do not charge restocking fees.
9. What does the warranty cover?
All PhoxHunter e-bikes come with a 1-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects in the frame, motor, battery (defects only), controller, display, and charger. Normal wear and tear (tires, brake pads, chains, etc.) is not covered. See our Warranty Information page for details.
10. Is the warranty transferable if I sell my bike?
No — the warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Second-hand owners can purchase replacement parts through our support team.
Product & Specifications
11. Does the bike come fully assembled?
PhoxHunter folding e-bikes come partially pre-assembled. You will need to attach the front wheel, handlebars, pedals, and seat, then unfold and lock the frame. The process takes about 20–30 minutes. We provide tools and an assembly guide.
12. How do I fold the bike? How small does it get?
The folding mechanism is designed for tool-free folding. When folded, the bike measures approximately 35" x 25" x 15" (depending on model) — suitable for a car trunk, closet, or under a desk.
13. How much does the bike weigh? Can I carry it when folded?
PhoxHunter folding e-bikes weigh between 45–55 lbs depending on the model (battery included). Many adults can carry the folded bike for short distances (e.g., up stairs, onto a train). For longer carries, we recommend using the included folding handle or rolling it on its wheels when unfolded.
14. How far can I ride on a single charge?
Range depends on rider weight, terrain, pedal assist level, and tire pressure. In general:
• Throttle only: 20–25 miles
• Pedal assist (ECO mode): 35–45 miles
• Pedal assist (higher modes): 25–35 miles
Real-world range varies. Using higher assist levels, climbing hills, or carrying heavy loads will reduce range.
15. What is the top speed?
PhoxHunter folding e-bikes are Class 2 e-bikes, with throttle and pedal assist up to 20 mph. This is the legal limit for many bike paths and trails without additional licensing.
16. Is the bike waterproof? Can I ride in the rain?
PhoxHunter e-bikes are water-resistant (IP54 rated), meaning they can handle light rain and splashes. They are not waterproof. Avoid riding in heavy rain, through puddles deeper than the wheel hub, or submerging electrical components. Dry and store the bike indoors after wet rides.
17. How long does it take to fully charge the battery?
A full charge from empty takes approximately 4–6 hours using the included charger. Partial charges are fine — the battery does not have a "memory effect."
Legal & Safety
18. Do I need a driver's license or registration to ride an e-bike?
In most US states, no license, registration, or insurance is required for Class 2 e-bikes (20 mph max). Laws vary by state and city. Check your local regulations. Some states have minimum age requirements (usually 14–16 years old).
19. Do I have to wear a helmet?
Helmet laws vary by state and age. We recommend wearing a CPSC-certified helmet on every ride, regardless of distance or speed.
20. Can I ride my PhoxHunter e-bike on bike paths and trails?
Class 2 e-bikes are allowed on many bike paths, multi-use trails, and bike lanes unless otherwise posted. Some natural surface trails, state parks, or national parks may restrict e-bike access. Check local signage and regulations.
Maintenance & Care
21. How often should I maintain my e-bike?
We recommend a basic check before every ride (brakes, tire pressure, battery latch) and a professional tune-up every 6 months or 500 miles. Local bike shops can perform most maintenance; call ahead to confirm they work on e-bikes.
22. Can I buy replacement parts?
Yes. Contact us at support@phoxhunter.com for replacement parts. Common wear items (tires, brake pads, chains, tubes) are standard sizes and can also be purchased at local bike shops.
23. How should I store my battery when not riding for a long time?
If storing your bike for more than a month:
• Charge the battery to 40–80% (not 100%)
• Remove the battery from the bike
• Store in a cool, dry place (32°F–77°F / 0°C–25°C)
• Recharge every 2–3 months to maintain battery health
